Memorial is a black metal band from the Netherlands.

1996- The band was created and has been around for over 10 years by now. Initially the band consisted of three members:

- Madis - Vocals
- Micha - Drums
- Wolter - Guitar

Within those years Alco (guitar) joined the band as well as Roeland (bass).
Most of us were active in the local metal-scene before, although not always in the same "roles".
For example Micha used to sing in a death-metal band called Ceremony in the early nineties.
In the end for some of us those previous projects didn`t work out so MEMORIAL was formed.

1998- A demo was recorded and was quickly signed to an American label called Baphomet records. The album called “Enter My Megaron” received good reviews worldwide.

In the meantime several changes were inflicted upon the band; Madis left the band and Alco took the vocals upon him combined with guitar. We ended our contract with Baphomet records and ofcourse new material was made in the meantime.

2005- Because of personal problems we had to stop with Alco, which was the best thing to do for everybody.
Shortly after that, Wolter decided to spend more time with his family and to focus solely on his band were he is playing in his whole life (Profane). Cheers mate!!!
At the end of the year we recruited Pieter to play guitar.

2006- In the beginning of this year, we recruited Martin to play guitar and perform the vocals.
A new battle formation has formed.
