Biographie : Funeral Fog (CAN)

The Maritime shores of eastern Canada, shores that are trampled by the innocent during
the summer months and morph in the winter to cold, blistering, blasphemous landscapes,
devoid of human life. Such is the music of Moncton, New Brunswick's Funeral Fog.
In December 1999 the band was formed as a duo consisting of Krall and Nokturnis, two
weathered individuals who agreed in their beliefs regarding traditional, raw and untouched
black metal. Two and a half years later in May, 2002 as their plans crytallized they entered
Bloodmoon Studios and recorded their debut album, "Under the Black Veil". Limited to
200 numbered copies, the album was officially released on February 15th, 2003 with
positive reviews from the metal media. The traditional grim atmospheres and blackened-
tongue approach surpassed most attempts from neighboring black metal bands and shined
a level of proud superiority that has echoed outside the confines of the Atlantic provinces.
Since then they have appeared on the compilation "Maritime Metal: Initiating the XIth Hour",
a split with Halifax, Nova Scotia's Snowfall, and on Knuckletrack XLIX from the
internationally distributed Brave Words Bloody Knuckles magazine.

Their first and only show was held somewhere near Moncton NB on August 3, 2002.
The much talked about show was a one time only event for Funeral Fog as they have little
desire to be a live unit. The performance is said to have been held near a fire pit and in front
of a limited audience. Under the underground, it is still talked about to this day.

Late 2003 marks the welcomed arrival of a new drummer "Shithammer" and in late 2004
saw the arrival of new member "Deimus" on Guitar. The official third and forth members will
definitely add a new dimension to the band as they begin work on their second album.

And through the mist and fog the frozen coldness continues...
