Biographie : Dhune

Dhune was formed in Piacenza (Italy) ten years ago by Davide Belfiglio, Marco Campanini and Giovanni Antonelli. The music at the time was more psychedelic-oriented, with keyboard parts, long and entangled tracks and a lot of experimental musical patterns.

An EP (Psychedelein) was printed in 2003, sold over 700 copies in northern Italy and was followed by many gigs. The musical approach changed a lot after Francesco Destri joined the band ; no more psychedelic tunes, but harder guitars in B tune, darker atmosphere, stoner, alternative and metal in a very original and obscure musical fusion.

With this line-up, Dhune recorded, mixed and mastered Medusa album between october 2006 and january 2007 at Elfo Studio (Wicked Minds, Forgotten Tomb, Dark Horizon, Link Quartet, Tragodia, Adramelch). Medusa is still available on many online stores such as iTunes, Amazon, Napster, Rhapsody, Emusic, Lala, Amie Street, Shockhound and IMVU.

In 2009, the band is back to Elfo Studio to record their second album Silence of Sound. Elisa Paganelli (Hungry Heart, Big Sur) becomes the new lead singer and brings a big evolution in the band sound, now more melodic but at the same time more complex, multicolored and heavy. The recording and mixing sessions last for almost a year and finally the new album is mastered by producer, arranger and musician Nicolaï Fragile (Gotthard, The Poodles).

After another year and many live gigs in northern Italy, Dhune sign-up with italian label Revalve Records for the publishing and distribution of Silence of Sound, available in stores from may 7th 2012.
