Biographie : Crucified Mortals

In the summer of 2001 Crucified Mortals was started as a solo project by Reaper, with a the recording of a demo entitled "Hung Out To Die". The demo was a horrid representation of the direction in which the band would then head into, but it did begin the Crucified discography and would be the only representation of the band for a few years. A few unsuccessful members joined and left the band, and Crucified Mortals saw a brief break up.

The spring of 2003 brought the addition of drummer Sebastian Dzialuk. The band was then offered to oppurtunity to appear on a compilation CD, so as a two piece band "The Reaper's Blade" had been recorded at the House of death. The sound and direction of the band would now be presented by this recording and eventually be re-recorded in a studio. Unfortunately, this compilation was never released.

In 2004 guitarist Zack Rose joined the band for recording purposes. The band also hooked up with bassist Novy (Vader, Dies Irae, Devilyn) to play on the upcoming recording. For the first time as a four piece would entered Magnetic North Studio January 2004 to record an E.P. titled “Converted by Decapitation” featuring Reaper: guitars/vocals, Zack: lead and rhythm guitar, Novy: bass, and Sebastian Dzialuk: drums. The "Converted by Decapitation" E.P. was then released by the band on their own label "Stigmatized Records" on Friday August 13th, 2004 it has gained great reviews from fans and 'zines around the world.

Shortly after the release of "Converted by Decapitation" Zack left the band. Adam Cudnik then took the roll of rhythm guitar, with Reaper taking the lead guitar and bass duties. The band recorded a demo "Figure In Black" early 2005, and then received an offer from Iron Bonehead Productions(Germany) to release a 7" vinyl E.P. A few weeks later the band entered the studio to record two new songs “Obscured Inquisitor” and “Nosferatu” for the 7” E.P. which would be called “Kill Upon Command

In April of 2005 the vacant bass position was finally filled by Lou Spencer(ex-Manticore and Somnus) and with a hell of a lot of cramming the band would would finally be able to play their first live performance April 22nd, with Deceased and Soulless. Shortly after the show Lou decided to quit the band and a month or two later Adam left as well.

Zack returned to the band in May 2005 and Reaper decided to take the bass duties, granting Crucified Mortals the opportunity to continue to play live performances. This solid three piece line-up became the most strong, stable, and productive the band had ever been, and they focused on playing numerous shows throughout 2005-2006, including a performance at the legendary CGBG's weeks before it shut it's doors forever.

At this moment, the band's focus is to write new songs and hopefully a full length release will finally see the light sometime in 2008. There are at the moment two upcomings releases. One is a split mini-LP with Spawn of Satan, which will be released by Hell's Headbangers. Another is a split 7-inch as well as CD with Japan's Fastkill. This is the first to include the bands newest member in bassist Kyle Hite, who joined the band early in 2007. The very first stable four piece lineup is stronger than ever. Stay tuned for more information about upcoming releases.
