When I as a guitarist and singer dissolved my band "Tears of Time" in the summer of 1997
and joined a Black Metal band as a guitarist,
I quickly realized that playing the guitar only would become too boring in the long run.
So I decided to found my solo project "CROM" in the winter of 1997.
From the beginning Crom was meant to be in praise of my favourite band Bathory.
However working for my new band turned out to be so time-consuming, so,
after having written three songs relatively fast
I decided to interrupt my work for Crom for the time being.
After three years and the recording of two CDs I left the band.
During these three years I had written about ten songs and produced a Promo
( simply " Promo 2000 " ) and so
I had produced an excellent starting platform for my new main band Crom.
I revised two songs and had my first studio appointment for Crom in January 2002.
I wrote one more song and at last I was able
to record "The Fallen Beauty EP " at Aexxys Art / Schwandorf on January 25, 2002.
Since the studio was redecorated immediately after the recording the endmix was
somewhat delayed and the CD was
not finished completely before June 2002.

For the cover design the Belgian artist Kris Verwimp seemed to be the obvious choice,
since he has a good feeling for the topics of my songs.
Furthermore he had excelled with very good covers (e.g. Immortal, Marduk) in the past.
Shortly after the recording of "The Fallen Beauty" I recorded a Mini CD (Promo 2002)
of my own production, too.
In the meantime almost all the songs for a whole album I completed, more songs are under
production and at the moment I am busy with
producing a concept album and another album consisting of coversongs only.
