Journey Through Twilight is exactly what the title suggests. An adventure through a realm unknown, only this adventure is a relaxing one. This is a purely ambient album, but has drums. Most ambient bands cannot do drums without sounding like a horrible trance song, but His
Ethereal Woods broke that barrier with this all new album.
A great example of this would be in the song A Migration Across The Sky. The drums are not techno-ey, and they aren't simple drums that include two different types of drums. These drums are complex, and sound like they were performed by an actual drummer. But the drums are not the only highlight from this song. HEW incorporated this amazing pad that sounds like something out of a synthpop song, or and industrial song, or the like.
And it doesn't sound out of place; it fits in like any other pad he uses.
Every song on this album is a win, and can be used to lull you into a sleep, or get you relaxed, or, hell, anything else you want to do! You do not want to miss this album.
