I was lost in dark forest for about 50 minutes

'As the Leaves Fall' is an only album in Doom/Dark metal that I know. This album has atmosphere of forest where many things happened and which keeps great memories. It combines Black Metal rasps, growls and clean vocals. It mus be mentioned that harsh vocal is singed by female singer. There are guitars and cellos as leading instruments. Cellos mainly make this album darker and deeper. it also makes album closer to the orchestra. Cellos are 'helped' by Synthesizer, which gives 17th century atmosphere. Bass can't be heared out of mix. Drummer makes drum fills everytime he can, which is great. Lyrics are about Christianity, and I love it.

Generally, From Ashes had released awesome album, which gives listener willing, to walk in forest in night. Recommended tracks: Blackened, Withering Leaves, Exiled.
