Hymnosis is a band of four friends that have been composing metal music since 2001. We have more than 20 original compositions, 5 of which we have professionally recorded ourselves, and we recently released a self-produced EP (Unmasking Faces - April 2011), recorded and mixed by our singer Pat Goyette.

All the members of the band work or have worked in the music industry and this is clearly demonstrated by the professional way we approach all aspects of our band, beginning with the music we have produced. Example : all the visuals (CD, logo, web, etc…) are made by our bassist - Bob Lalonde.

Pat (singer) is a sound engineer, Bob (bass player) is a graphic designer, Laurie (drummer) is a technical director and tour manager, and SPL (guitar player) is a former sound engineer : we are all passionate and very serious about our music and our band ; after 10 years, we can say we live for the band (we thank our old bassist Alex Fournier with whom we've had two studio sessions.).

With that being said, the goal of our EP is to show our potential, our sound and our style of metal. We are looking for people that share the same passion we have for metal, and that can give us the opportunity to succeed in the international metal scene. All we need is one chance, because we feel we have all the elements in place to create and share music that is different, groovy and undeniably heavy for years to come.

While we are extremely proud of how far we've come on our own, the potential for success working with and learning from a good team that believes in us is very exciting ! We are believers in the potential of our band to deliver killer metal, on stage and on our recordings.

With beginnings as a basement band out of Pincourt, Qc, Canada, Hymnosis is a sleeping giant just waiting to explode on the metal scene. Since 2001, we have evolved our hardcore and progressive influences by adding some Pantera groove to our songs.
