Faustus was created as a one-man-project by S.L in 2003. A demo of 22 copies was released in 2004 and handed out to the ones closest to him. Shortly after that the band was laid on ice until Janury 2005 when Gaddur was included as the bands drummer.

Together S.L and Gaddur recorded on single song called "Northern Darkness" that was planned to be the title song of an upcoming demo. Neither demo nor song was ever released and heard only by a few.
Due to lack of places to rehearse Faustus was once again put on hold.

But then again, during the spring of 2006, yet an additional member joined the band. M.S was asked to play the bass (shortly after picked up the microphone instead) and new material began to prosper as Faustus finally had gotten grasp of a practice room.

As the songs became more a new demo was recorded in the studio of Mockba Productions in September 2006.

With the demo released Faustus started planning for live shows and got in contact the bass player of "Svartnat", K.J, who agreed to join as a session member.
Some shows later K.J was decided to be considered as a full member of the band.

For the moment Faustus is in contact with some underground labels about a contract for a full-length album, just waiting to be recorded.
