Crypta is a Brazilian death metal band formed in 2020 in São Paulo. The group began shortly after the departure of Fernanda Lira and Luana Dametto from the band Nervosa. Fernanda commented that she wanted to create a group that would make death metal with a more old school sound, based on bands like Obituary and Death. Luana formed the band together with Fernanda because she also liked the sound proposal and because she had a background as a drummer for Apophizys, a death metal band from Rio Grande do Sul.

In addition to Fernanda on bass and vocals and Luana on drums, the band's formation also has two guitarists: Tainá Bergamaschi (ex-Hagbard) and the Dutch Sonia Anubis (Cobra Spell and ex-Burning Witches). Crypta is part of the Napalm Records label and its first album is scheduled to be released in 2021 through the label.

Then released the album ''Echoes Of The Soul'', the band released some video clips and soon went on tour. The release of the album and the band's live performances were an indisputable success and the band soon reached the same level of success as the former band of members Fernanda Lira and Luana Dametto, Nervosa. In mid-2022, Dutch guitarist Sonia Anubis left the band and Brazilian Jéssica Di Falchi took over. The band then continues their tour playing acclaimed metal festivals such as Wacken.
