Slow Death was formed in 1995. in the State Falcon, Venezuela by ex- members of the Band "Devastation". This line up didn't remain together due to the death of the drummer, after regrouping with new members including Antonio Rodríguez from the band Power Metal and Jorge Gutiérrrez, from the band Necrófago. The rest of this line up crossed many changes until May1999, when they managed to publish a demo titled "Demon Knight" consisting of two songs, "Demon Knight" and "In the name of Satan" - the following year the band completed this demo, by adding some new songs, and the new demo was named "A Prayer for the Damn". In 2000. they entered the studio to record their first official album "Dead but still feeling the pain" published by "Average Melomaniac Metal Record" – the band's line up, at that time was consisting of Antonio Rodríguez and Jorge Gutiérrrez. In 2002. Slow Death was invited to participate on split album "Sur América Brutal vol. 2" published by "Hurling Metal Record" – other bands on the split were 1917 from Argentina and Slow Agony from Paraguay. Francisco García from "Death Simbol" death metal band joined the band at that time, also Ricardo Beaujon, local amateur vocalist, and José Coronado on the guitar, originally from the band "Serpent Christ". This line up didn't remain either, due to the departure of José Coronado. In 2003. the band toured the country with great acceptance, since the band itself wasn't very well known – at the middle of this tour, Ricardo Beaujon left the band, leaving Francisco on the bass, Jorge on the drums and Antonio on the guitar. Soon after, Carlos Rafael Sánchez, vocalist from the band "Felon" joined Slow Death, in order to record the new split demo in 2004, along with the band Blasphemy. In March 2004. Slow Death stopped their activities because Antonio Rodríguez had to go abroad and at the same time Francisco García, left the band due to personal reasons. In September 2005. the band regrouped and with Argenis Gamboa (Revolution, Chamber of Death) on the bass, began a new period for the band.
