Biography : Lothlöryen

Formed in 2002, Lothlöryen released in the following year a demo called "Thousand Ways To The Same Land", which was the first step to create the band's unique identity.
Featuring eight songs, the cd received great reviews from national press and lead the band to be part of "Valhalla Demo Section", a compilation made by Valhalla Magazine (later RockHard / Valhalla Magazine) featuring the best brazilian independent bands. Due to the great response of the demo, Force Majeure Records inked a deal with Lothlöryen to release their debut album.

In 2005 the album "...Of Bards and Madmen" was released, leading the "crazy bards of brazilian metal" to be featured in "Best Band of the Year" lists made by magazines like Valhalla, ...And Heavy Metal For All, Roadie Crew and also the "Best Heavy Metal Album of the Year" by Dynamite Awards of Independent Music.

On the band's first tour, "Bards and Madmen on the Road” they played in several cities, with great names of brazilian rock and metal scene like Sepultura, Krisiun, Tuatha de Danann, Torture Squad, Velhas Virgens and others.

Musically the band proposal has diverse influences going easily from The Beatles to Blind Guardian.
The result is an unique identity in the form of heavy metal, with strong touches of folk music.

Now the band is working on the release of their second album, entitled "Some Ways back no More", which shall be released worldwide in 2008.
