Biography : Backbone (ARG)

Backbone is a death / groove metal band from the city of Resistencia, Chaco, Argentina formed on May 25, 2014. It was formed from the ashes of previous projects (Melisma and Alhazred), taking from these their brutality without losing the Melodic sense that defines the "sound" of Backbone, generating a professional musical proposal that ranges from the merely auditory to the visual.
Backbone places special emphasis on their live performances with the main objective of offering a different musical proposal, in a visual and auditory mix that define their shows. One of the main goals of the band is to demystify the "metal" as a merely elitist or limited sound and thus try to embrace a wider audience.
Backbone is composed by guitarist Maximiliano "Coco" Rodríguez and Alejandro Petruk (guitars), Francisco Gerber (bass), Martín Leiva (drums) and Marcos Misiaszek (vocals). To date the band has eight own songs and an EP titled "R'lyeh", which has five tracks that offer a good dose of extreme metal.
The band had several live performances to date with important attendance and positive reviews from the public, mostly performed in the city of Resistencia, Formosa and Corrientes, yet the band plans a tour of Argentina, including reaching Paraguay. In 2015 they had the possibility to be support for the band of Heavy Metal Malón, during its passage through the city of Corrientes..
Beginning in 2016, they began recording sessions of what would be their first EP and studio release. This also generated the need to promote it through an official video.
Thus, in February 2017 they exhibit to the public their first official video "Crushing The Silence" giving a preview of the sound that would lead the EP, and having a special impact on social networks.
To date, Backbone is developing the presentation of the EP and promotional shows for the second half of 2017.
