Biography : Ba'al (GER)
After the promising self-released CDep The Babel Concept (March 2003) - which received many praises in the metal and hardcore press - our first full-length release The Lilith Complex (July 2004) on CIRCULATION RECORDS was the consequential advancement of the BA'AL style - mixing 90th Thrash Metal riffing and catchy melodies with ultra heavy modern grooves.
The release of our first full-length album has been followed up by many shows and tours. In the middle of 2006 we released our second CDep The Red Dragon where we improved our technical Thrash Metal style once again.
In January 2008 we recorded the songs for our upcoming second full-length album with the working title Confusion Of Tongues which marks another milestone in our band history.
Many people ask where the name BA'AL comes from. BAAL was the first book written by Bertolt Brecht and it's purism initially inspired us to use that name as our bandname. Furthermore the figure of BA'AL in mythology and history was the icing on the cake that made the choice of that bandname perfect.
