The Fully Down

Comment @ MEIRecords

04 November 2008
Canadian rockers The Fully Down have concocted a brilliant sound with their sophomore effort, Don't Get Lost In A Moment. Driving metal rhythms, melodic (almost emo) vocals and searing dual guitar licks place these guys at the forefront of a very young musical style.

The lack of formulaic composition is what really sets The Fully Down apart from other bands in their genre. Make no mistake ... they definitely have some catchy hooks and Gab Bouchard's vocals are very mainstream, but the music itself teeters on the edge of prog metal. There's so much detail in each song, it could become a little confusing to the average listener ... and therein may lie TFD's trademark.

Overall, TFD separates themselves from the molds and labels of the norm with Don't Get Lost In A Moment. And, while you might have to listen to the album a few times to find your particular Opus, it's not a stretch of the imagination to guarantee you WILL find it.
