Coming six years after its predecessor, 'In Extremis' is total
supremacy and shows the band on top of the craft. The album featuring
ten new songs reeking of brimstone and dead meat, is a “this way or no
way” work. Black as a night and dense as tar, it offers a whirlwind of
chaotic currents ready to overthrow all things holy. As one of the
lyrics says, God is to be slain. Meaning “at the point of death”
or “under extreme circumstances” in Latin, 'In Extremis' is yet another
apex reached by Azarath. Offering a furious ride through the
netherworlds, the effort is an experience one of a kind, offering Metal
of Death supreme. The band's vision and reverence for the force of Death
has been captured by the eerie painting of Marta Promińska: Hypnagogic Painting, which adorns the album's cover. Recorded in various locations between March and November 2016, the opus was mixed and mastered by Haldor Grunberg/ Satanic Audio. Death Metal puissant avec une fibre Indus même si il n'y pas de samples, ni de claviers. Un style que le groupe adoptera pleinement par la suite d'ailleurs, mais sous un autre patronyme...

La j'en suis à la 5 ème au moins. En mattant les artworks je me suis demandé s'il ne s'agissait pas d'une trilogie? Attaque des cieux, puis sur Terre et enfin domination du monde?

Je me suis repassé Close to a World Below qui était jusqu'a présent mon préféré avant l'écoute de Dawn et Failures. Ca pourrais changer, mais je me refairais les trois premiers d'affiler avant d’enchaîner.

Sinon vue ton engouement Volesprit, je me suis passé un extrait d'Azarath, le Blasphemers Malediction. C'est vachement bon, je me le passerais en entier quand j'aurais le temps et j'attendrais de voir un extrait du prochain aussi.

Azarath - Demon Seed

Une petite demi heure d'occupation du coup. Première bonne impression à l'écoute, c'est assez direct et sec. La chro de Beergrinder me donne envie d'aller écouter ce qui c'est fait avant avec les autres groupes des membres, mais chaque chose en sont temps.

Voila..la sortie du nouvel album m a rappellé aux bons souvenirs de ce groupe.
J' adore et j' ai hâte d' écouter leur nouvelle mouture.

Putain qu'il est crade, sa suinte de partout cet album des ricains ! Une grosse tuerie !
Sans doute un des albums death qui a le plus tourné chez moi !

Après écoute du titre dispo du prochain album, il fallait que je retrouve le temps où le groupe avait encore des couilles.
Plus e temps passe plus je place ce Majesty and Decay au même niveau qu'un Close to a World Below. Littéralement écrasant.
