Taake for me, their my favorite Black Metal band in general

Others are, Mayhem, Burzum, Emperor and Gorgoroth

EDIT:and 1349.
I don't know what you guys have, the new album has some nice songs, but it's of course their weakest album.

Ragnarok is my new favorite Norwegian Black Metal band, i'm listening to their album In Nomine Sathanas, it had Hoest whose now in Taake on vocals for that album, it was a pretty melodic album too

Satyricon, Immortal, Burzum...some of the other stuff mentioned except for Gorgoroth - for the life of me, I could never get into this band 0 , really what's so good about it, anyway?!0 ...(end of 'personal taste tantrum')

Taake just like a lot of people and Urgehal - it hasn't been mentioned, they play some satanic shit, but they succesfully Escape lameness because they're good.

Yeah, Ragnarok and Urgehal are awesome.

I like Ragnarok a lot, they have a great sound. I tried them because of Hoest singing in Nomine Sathanas, but Diabolical Age is my favorite album now.

they have a alot of great albums, their new album's ok, apparently it came out back in march.
as far as Gorgoroth goes, they're my second favorite, Under The Sign of Hell is a Black Metal Masterpiece, try listening to some of those songs off that album if you haven't already, the Gaahl years were ok at best, Twilight of the Idols and Ad Majorem Satanas Gloriam were pretty bad though

As for me, i like Pest more than Gaahl, not that Gaahl is bad, i like him too, but the work with Pest is just great Black Metal work. Under the Sign of Hell is truly a masterpiece.

I'm not really into Black Metal, more of a death metaller here, but I went to see Immortal at Hellfest and enjoyed the show. I don't think I could ever actually listen to them though. I might give it a lash at another stage!

One thing I have to say is, Wardruna are actually savage! They do a great show. Very atmospheric.

I'm listening to Ad Majorem Satanhas Gloriam at the minute, and Gorgoroth just don't really do it for me.

Possibly my favourite Norweigan bm band is Deathcult. Cult of the Dragon is a cracker. This is coming from someone who doesn't really like bm, bear that in mind. =p

as far as Ad Majorem Satanas Gloriam goes, personally, i thought it was their weakest album.
and Deathcult is amazing, i've listened to a few tunes off that album... the song Seig Heil Satan kinda caught my eye when i was looking at the track listing, are they NSBM?

Ok...I'll just wake up one day in a grim Mood and try that Gorgoroth stuff, I'll see if I like it then, right now - not in the Mood to go back on bands I don't like.

Deathcult are pretty good, don't think they claimed to be part of NSBM...haven't sen their lyrics either, so I can't really tell...
