yeah the first 2 albums were great, Dynasty of Death is probly my favorite release from them though. i think they've gotta new album comin out sometime soon called Phantasmagoria, didn't much care for their last album, but Suicide Commando was a great song, the rest of the album was pretty mediocre

In my opinion, best Black Metal bands in Norway are Gorgoroth and Burzum. Especially, in 1990 - 2000 but now they are not as before. Gorgoroth did not release a good album after "Incipit Satan". Varg Vikernes' "Burzum", "Det Som Engang Var" and "Filosofem" were so perfect but now, he is not as before. And also Darkthrone... I have been still listening "Transilvanian Hunger" everyday but now they are not so before.
Shortly in the course of time they changed their style. 1990s were perfect years for Black Metal scene. Between the 1990-2000 best Black Metal bands in Norway were Gorgoroth, Burzum, Darkthrone, Mayhem, Emperor, Immortal and Satyricon... After 2000 it is so difficult to say a band but I think 1349 are good. Gorgoroth suprised me with "Quantos Possunt Ad Satanitatem Trahunt". I hope they will return the true Norwegian Black Metal scene like 1990s.

the new Gorgoroth album was excellent, way better than Twilight of the Idols, and Ad Majorem Satanas Gloriam, those are probably their "weakest" albums. 1349 were one of my favorites up until they released revelations of the Black Flame, i don't know what kinda sound they were shooting for on there, but it sounded Nothing like Hellfire, or Liberation, which are great albums in my opinion

1349 was one of my best favourite Black Metal bands until 2009 but after "Revelations Of The Black Flame" I was disappointed

yeah same with me, that new album was awful, i have no clue what they were thinking when they released that piece of shit album. Svarttjern is probably my current favorite Norwegian Black Metal band, but i don't listened to as much Black Metal as i used to anymore
