Hey everyone

I was wondering what your preferences are with your listening devices? Specifically headphones.

I've just recently bought a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50s which are sweet!

I've only had these headphones for a week or so and so Far I have absolutely no complaints about them

- bass response is awesome
- the insulation of sound is great
- there is little distortion in the sound
- it's built strong

They were also real cheap too, I got my pair for $120 (AUD) and I must say, it was probably one of my commendable investments. I

I never wear earbuds. They damage your ears way more rapidly and they make everything sound like a tinny bootleg recording. Plus everyone around you can hear what you hear, and that's just obnoxious.

I don't like total sound-blockers unless I'm in a place where I know I won't have to respond to anything. If I'm walking around I like to at least sort of hear what's going on around me. I have a cheap pair of headphones that sound really great and a high-quality pair that block sound quite a lot. I used to have a pair with built-in bass boost that you could switch on and off but they've broken. :

I currently use the JVC Marshmallows. pretty good bass response. crisp highs and mids. and the best part is that they are only 20 bucks, which Means i don't give Two shits if they break. but they are built really durable. i love them.

i use to wear ear buds thinking they were a good sound for the tinny low quality music i mainly listen to, but now have had my Sony headphones (can't remember the exact model name ) i brought for 50 bux nz for about a year now and have never looked back. Don't think i would bother with anything more expensive either, i get carried away in the depth of the music enough as it is with the ones i have

I honestly don't think the price of the headphones dictates the quality. The most expensive headphones I've Ever come across (over $800) didn't sound as good as either pair I use (when added together, they're worth just $60). As long as I'm not using buds or awful headphones I'm fine.
