Well, it's a little bit unconventional, and a lot of it is told through symbolism, but it's about a girl, Cora, who wakes up in her room (door closed) and for the first while the book plays as if everything is normal, and then it starts to descend to the idea that the door has been locked. As it goes on we find that Cora is the victim of abuse and has been locked in her room (you don't find out why till The End) and a lot of flashbacks lead up to her life present-day, and as time goes by in the room Cora begins to starve/die of Thirst, and therefore sees/hears things/has Fucked Up dreams. She goes completely out of it, fighting the concept of life and death and acknowledgement of harsh truths that she would have otherwise ignored had it not been for the real-life confrontation that she's in more trouble than she's been letting on. It's basically a psychological book in the mind of Cora as she gets weaker and weaker. Probably won't sell worth anything, but at this rate I could have it done by The End of summer, and then I'll get to work on publishing it. |
