I remember having fun once, it was terrible...

I just started getting into this band today. They're great, but I don't find them heavy at all- sue, their vocalist and general aesthetic is pretty chaotic but they're also a really melodic band. It's amazing how accessible a lot of their riffs are if you listen to 'em.

Electric Wizard has a pretty gnarly tone but they're basically just stoners ripping off Sabbath. Wonderful band, Far from the heaviest. Their music is pretty chill and bouncy if you take out the bajillion distortion pedals.

This may not be the heaviest thing EVAR, but it's certainly an example of what I'm looking for when I Judge heaviness. The guitar tone is pretty clear and audible, but like i've said before, it's not all about the tone, it's about the riffs too, the riffs themselves are just fuckin' crushing.
