If you're a fan of Demilich, give a listen to Cosmic Atrophy. Same kind of Death Metal that stays a little more restrained, giving it a thicker, chunkier sound. Great shit.

Impetuous Ritual . Strange and Evil as hell. 2 of the people in Portal are in this band... that explains a lot.

More or less seconded, I don't really like Impetuous Ritual as much as some do, but they've carved a niche in Death Metal all their own. Portal is nice also.

Oh, and for anybody who wants to hear pure fucking Hellish noise, give a good ol' gander at Teitanblood.
