I remember having fun once, it was terrible...

I have listened to all the progenitors and big-namers of the genre and it has never shown me any redeeming qualities or anything worth listening to. I have listened to many bands, including most of the ones you mentioned.

Why can't you guys get it through your Head that somebody doesn't like a genre of music? This kind of "narrow-minded" criticism usually comes from the same people who spew stuff like "all pop music sucks"

If you have seen any of the aforementioned people condemn a kind of music as "sucking"  , ANY kind of music , then i would agree with you . But as i know myself , and all the others i agreed with pretty much , then i guess you should find first clues of self-contradiction before accusing any of it .
Of course , anyone has a personal taste , from the Metalcore fans to the Grindcore fans . If you thought that any of the comments were directed towards you , then you maybe its because you condemned a whole kind of music , based on personal taste ?
 People that are listening to Deathcore , dont do it because its br00tal , or because its popular , or because it will get them girls . Its because they really like it . Not to mention they have to endure the blaming "oooh , his music is so gay " from the rest of us , like this stupid topic blatanly shows . I Wish i had seen this place earlier .

If people can like what they want to like, I'm just as able to dislike what I dislike and make Negative comments towards it. Criticism is equally as welcome as praise in any discussion.

Also, I've seen multiple comments regarding a general Hatred for mainstream music on this forum (i think I SAW a couple in the "bashing area" forum but I can't quite remember where) and I've seen comments like that on many of the other forums I visit/frequent, and that's damn well enough evidence for me.

Oh, and have you ever actually been to a Deathcore show? Believe it or not, I have. I've met artists of the genre (albeit only local ones, but whatever), Hell, I'm friends with people who like it, and i know for a FACT that the only reason they like it it because it's Brutal and because it's popular.

I'm not just blatantly bashing the genre because it's considered "hip" in the metal scene to do so. I'm doing it because I have listened to the music, talked with artists and fans of the genre, and the whole fucking thing just reeks of baseless, subtanceless douchebaggery. I've done my homework.

While I understand that Deathcore is mainly populated and supported by men, it is deeply insulting to ascribe a sexuality to it based on such an observation.

As much as I Hate to jump in on this touchy subject...
I do gotta agree with enigmatick, it does seem to be more of a "popularity contest" among Deathcore bands (it's called "scene" for a reason). Though I think overseas, the whole Deathcore situation might be a bit different than here in the US and North America, where the Core bands and The metal bands tend to kinda avoid each other.
