well i grew up on classic Metal (Ozzy, Rob Zombie, ACDC etc etc) but the song that got me into heavyer Metal would be "Hey John, What's Your Name Again?" by The Devil Wears Prada

The first song that really got me into True Heavy Metal was when I Saw the video for Metallica's Until It Sleeps on, of all things, MTV.  From there on it was Full Speed Ahead into the Heavy Metal abyss!!!

Where I grew up in south Florida(late 70' early 80's, the radio stations sucked, so we never listened to the radio.We just went around the the record stores and looked at the records, and bought them based on what the album cover and band looked like. So... of course the most incredible looking album back then to me was IRON MAIDEN KILLERS. So my first Taste of metal...IRON MAIDEN Ides of March/Wrathchild.
