I never considered Lamb Of God to be Deathcore, i dunno why, they just sound... better, than most Deathcore bands to me. |

I SAW they were filed under Metalcore on wikipedia... I always thought Metalcore stuff had to use clean vocals (at least on some songs) and Lamb Of God never really did that, maybe on that new cd they released, but I've never listened to anything off it |

Parkway Drive doesn't really use clean vocals but they are Metalcore. I think its acctual song structure that defines the line. Since
Deathcore is made from mixing
Metalcore and Death Metal together, it aquires some
Death Metal traits. In
Metalcore their dirty vocals are differen't, they don't have as much distortion as
Deathcore scream (
Death Metal Screams I should say) . Also There aren't many (but a few)
Metalcore bands that utilize the
Pig Squeals and Guttural Growls. Also
Deathcore tends to be alot more faster than Metalcore. Although there are a few
Metalcore bands that are fast,
Deathcore in general is faster when you look at it as a whole. Also
Metalcore Breakdowns are fairly differen't from
Deathcore ones.
Deathcore ones are usually slower and sound very hollow.
Metalcore ones tend to be faster and the music seems to be full. Also
Deathcore is taking a totally differen't path from Metalcore. While
Metalcore is drifting towards Melodic Death,
Deathcore tends to be drifting towards the Technical and
Blackend Death area. Although the last part I wrote was useless, I just thought I would throw that in there.
I remember having fun once, it was terrible...
... but yeah the songs sounds pritty awesome
