Aura Noir - Black Thrash Attack

It does exactly what it says on the cover! Catchy, sharp riffage, Vicious vocals, and well thought out drumming are the order of the day with this record. Definitely one worth getting if you're a fan of the earliest days of the teutonic thrash scene.

Adramelech - Psychostasia

Love this record. One of my favourites from the Finnish DM scene. This record is littered with fantastic, unconventional riffage (similar to Demilich) that manages to be undeniably catchy and effective throughout. The songs are well constructed, equal parts twisting and atmospheric, and the sparse lead guitar work is perfect here.

Unfortunately, I remember this and the Spring of Recovery single being the only great releases from this band.

I haven't listened to Adramelech in a long time. Should listen to that album again.

Nemesis - Secrets Of The Moon

These guys sure moved on from their first album. This is just plain old Black Metal compared to their proggier new stuff. It's good, but the riffs are not as interesting as their newer albums (i.e.: Privilegivm).

Univers Zero - Heresie

Really weird, unnerving stuff. Hard to describe. Imagine a lovecraftian themed or gothic horror movie from anytime between the fourties and sixties. This album could've been the sound track. It relies heavily on some unnerving violin playing and percussion.

This is my first experience with the "Rock In Opposition" style and i'm definitely going to have to look more into it.

i picked up a copy of Terror of a thousand faces by them at CIM... it wasn't anything too special, though admittedly i've only gotten around to listening to it once so far.
Cloaca of Iniquity - Blasphemer
the guy next to me in my photo does vocals for this band.. probly some of the brutal-est death growls i've heard in a long time
