Klabautamann was pretty cool, loved that acoustic interlude around 3 minutes, and that drumming was wild. Vocals reminded me of Dimmu Borgir's For All Tid and Kvist. Low-key and growly, not much range but solid-sounding. The riffs were a little too chunky for me a lot of the time though, and I don't think chunky riffs compliment this particular song. Chunky stuff worked great for early Arch Enemy, but it lacks here. Winterhorde had a certain Majesty to it... but it sounded a Tad forced, which I think is common nowadays. But the song had a better progression to it. It sorta reminded me of Windir. There are points where the epicness does work, and those are the best parts. The riffs are windy and groovy, but the pounding drums give it a lot of heaviness. I like that soloey section at about 2:10; caught me by surprise. Another great interlude here, but I think it was more naturally-placed. Only thing bad here is the drums get irritating by machine-gunning it 70% of the time. But in The End, Winterhorde is better. MUCH more variety to it.
