Yeah, that´s right. His anti-cosmic dream came true. He is The One of those few "suiciders" I really appreciate. He had a real dedication for his art and I Wish I could be even slightly close that level of dedication with my own arts someday.

I think it is rather Sad that Jon ended his life. I mean his music, to me, was at its peak with reinkaos. That album fucking awesome. Suicide IS selfish. full stop. If you're in a "hole", find away of geting out. i know that laughing and joking with mates is the bes thing. Fix the problem and you'll be much much better. Dont Avoid it, thats the worst mistake. . .

same here in regards to Reinkaos being Dissection's best album, alotta people say that the first 2 were Superior, but personally, i've always thought Reinkaos was their best album.

Yeah, personally im not that much into full on BM like Mayhem, Gorgoroth (etc). More melodic/Sympho/folk stuff like Borknagar, Catamenia, Kalmah etc.
BTW, i reckon "Beyond the Horizon" is Dissections best song. That intrumental at the start aways gets me, and yet im not that much interested in Intrumentals.

that whole album is just godly. Maha Kali is probly my favorite track on Reinkaos... the title track is probably my favorite Instrumental on that album

It certainly is a "godly" album. So many tracks are awesome, such as "Dark mother divine", "black Dragon" etc. I think this album is what got me into Melodic BM, and it did in many ways, widen my eyes to how good some BM actually is. Before this, i didnt really think much of BM, ( this is going back 2 yrs ago. Me, being naive, thought of BM as posers, who wear their mums make up. plus the music seemed to "extreme". but i realise thats just fucking stupid) but having heard it i started trying out other BM bands like Limbonic Art, Ihsahn, Dawn Of Ashes, Keep of Kalessin etc

Guys , if you want to talk about the albums and songs , take it to the other topics . They exist for that reason .

Thought about that too, thnx Archon. Too get this thread back on rails, here's a philosofical interpretation of suicide:

The meaning of life and the worth of life is the most fundamental question in philosofy. In philosofy we try to seek an explanation for life and sense. But what if you take away that life by suicide. the question about worth and meaning in life remain unanswered... but somebody commits Suicide out of Despair and not seeing the worth in his/her life. How can we deal with this? This creates a serious Paradox

What exactly are you trying to say? One (but not the only) reason people have thoughts of Suicide is because they have deemed life to have no external meaning and they know (don't think; know) that death is the only answer. The "question" has been answered perfectly from their perspective.

You already put an answer in the right direction. I formulated my question a bit too short.
Their porblem is solved in their opinion when commiting Suicide but does this make Suicide a 'rightful' or 'just' choice? Many cultures have/had serious problems, complaints and taboes about suicide. So can Suicide be understood or justified in certain case, even if it ends abruptly the everlasting search for meaning in life that hasn't been completed?

(I discussed this in philosofy class last week, so I want to know how you guys think about it. It's a quite interesting discussion)
