Time to post some senseless crap about myself that nobody cares about...

I'm 15. bout 130 pounds, 5'10''. I'm kinda scrawny, but rather athletic (play AA hockey and have been playing the sport for about 10 years) and I do try to stay fit and work out.

Apparently I have a Genius IQ (although even I think that's bullshit :P) and have been identified as "gifted". It's something I can tell people to make me feel better about myself. Also, it Means I can get straight A's in school without trying, which kinda rules.

I derived my username from my personality in some ways- I try to see the bright side of things and am generally a happy dude, but everybody sees me as too serious or dark. Enigmatic indeed. It probably has to do with the fact that I wear black bandshirts + jeans pretty much 24/7. I have terrible taste in fashion and am proud of it.

I have a smokin' hot girlfriend whom I love very very much. Also, fuck everybody who says "UR JUST 15 U DONT NO WUT LOVE IS". Whatever. I'll enjoy this while it lasts.

As for my music tastes in general, I enjoy music that is resonant, atmospheric, melancholic, or just catchy as fuck. Mostly the first two. Usually metal will satisfy these cravings, but post-rock, prog-rock, neofolk and ambient will do the trick too. Although I never really know for sure if I'm going to like something or not- sometimes bands from the aforementioned genres will sound like horse shit to me, and bands outside of those genres will strike a chord with me or impress me. So feel free to drop me a music rec no matter what the genre, I'm always open to hearing new bands, because any music is capable of creating an Ethereal feeling that, in my opinion, cannot be replicated by anything else. Not even weed. Seriously. That shit ain't as great as people make it out to be.

Other things I enjoy are debating, (as is probably evidenced by my post history on here) hockey (shut up, I'm Canadian) and horror novels/movies (although quality stories are few and far between) and anything bizarre, Extreme or macabre. Although there's Nothing I won't try- as an Atheist, I believe this is the only life we have, and I want to experience everything there is to experience and live my goddamn life.

Despite this belief I'm stuck here on a Sunday night writing about myself on a metal forum. Ah well.
