for some reason or another, SOM, specifically the user Opeth59 refuses to acknowledge that a band is real. Is he perhaps operating under the assumption that if something is not acknowledged, it doesn't exist? I think he's biased, and to be frank, that's no way to run a site. Now, I'm sure I'll get banned for speaking out here, but really, what's the deal?

They're very, VERY biased. I've been a user here for awhile, and they, more specifically the user Opeth59, will delete anything that he doesn't like. He is intolerant and, to be honest, full of himself. I'm IM buddies with Grindlord. He got banned for speaking out, he didn't even do anything. What do you have to say about THAT, Opeth59? Oh yeah, and why do you bother to send people messages AFTER you've banned them? They can't access them. Duh.

Let me tell you, if this site was run by assholes I wouldn't be here (sure there are assholes wherever you go but not many here). There must be some misunderstanding.

Well, yeah, that's their job, to delete anything they think isn't worthy for the website. Otherwise, Spirit of Metal would be more like Spirit of Scrap Metal. It has Nothing to do with being full of him/herself. There's no need to get cut over something more than an obvious miscommunication problem.


How do you know he was "speaking out" and not being abusive? I mean, the opening post was obviously an Attack on Opeth59. I think GrindLord may have jumped a little too quick too conclusion on that one.

I've had my fair share of run-ins with the admin in the past, and I've never been banned ever... so I think there's more to the story.

The story has begun because af the band katastrophy that I and others admin have deleted many time.
I would remind you that to be listed on the database band MUST have a production, I mean a REAL one,  a PHYSICAL one not only few tracks on a youtube channel or facebook profile, etc...
The member AlexanderDeck insulted me by private message so the Sentence was immediat : OUT !!
Yesterday I deleted a band (I don't remember its name) that Grinlord has submitted for the same reason. He used the same IP address than AlexanderDeck, so... OUT !! The same IP adresse than ReginaObserver that I also banned from the site one month ago
And the band Rest... let me laugh !!!

And I don't have so much time to spend with that childish

EDIT : for the band Rest, when i Saw how many modifications there were on the pending submissions for the members profile, and modification such " He is satanist..."    ...go to Hell ...

For one, Tanner Weed IS a satanist. It's not a joke, and if you tell him to go to Hell, I think he gladly would. Opeth59, you claim that you would laugh at Rest? Why? They've HAD physical releases, do I need to take a picture to show you them? I say at the very LEAST re ADD that band since they HAVE had physical releases.
