hmmmm?

Ive missed it

ok lets take a look...

Ok I do agree about what you said about them going way over the limit, they have taken Tech Death to the next level. The part about "abandoning all melody" I have to say, they do mix things up a little but I find during some of the breakdowns they do have somekind of melody. Also I agree about them having an Unorthodox style of music but for some reason I am under the impression that you think that Viraemia have pushed the limit for their style, you are not wrong but there are some out there that pushed it over the boundary and off a cliff.

To me anyway

a) the fact that they juxtapose the breakdowns with the garbled sweep riffing only brings the lack of melody into light, obviously they didn't Abandon melody in all aspects, as any song has melody by Virtue of it being...well, a song. That was obviously hyperbole for effect.

Viraemia are unusual and have "pushed the boundaries" for me because they take all elements of Death Metal that i utterly Hate, display them with little subtlety or moderation, and manage to create something awesome specifically out of those elements. That's pushing it to the limit for me, I don't see how any other band could pull that off. They're a strange band, really.

I mentioned both these things in the review, by the way.

I have re-organised my blog so that now, you don't have to scroll... and scroll... and scroll to find a review. Please excuse my older ones I know they are bad.

Good to see you're finally reviewing bands I'm interested in reading about.

Can't say your take on Marduk is anything close to the majority- you seem to Hail them as a highly original band that is a cut above the rest, while most people slag on them for being Far too cookie-cutter and generic. You have a strange viewpoint on them, my friend

I honestly think that Panzer Division Marduk is the album that made them so popular. I think that back in the day (1999) Marduk was unmatched with the sheer pace in their music, whilst upholding some kind of melody. ( well... from what Ive found). But that was back then, now new Marduk seems "different" at best. (different as in WTF am I hearing? not "original" or "has balls" as you might want to call it) 0

Apologies for the thread Necromancy, but I just ran off a few reviews in the last week and am feeling rather proud of myself, so I've decided to advertise like a motherfucker. Reviews are for Silencer, Judas Iscariot and Divine Heresy.

Yes... As much as I Hate to say it, but I did enjoy all three of those reviews.
They all were well structured, the description was good (especially for Divine Heresy) and the language was... entertaining...

But I have a thought though, how about reviewing something worth more that say 90% because at the moment, the only thing that you seem to REALLY enjoy is Viraemia and Dark Millennium ! I'd like to see what you would have to say about somthing you REALLY! enjoy.

Ok here we go... as promised, I have edited my Endstille review ( I tried to get it out on the release date so It could sound rushed).... BUT! I think the whole thing was fucking excellent!

Feels weird getting a compliment from you, but thanks nonetheless I'm especially proud of that Divine Heresy one, yeah.

More positive stuff, you say? I've been trying to review Ashes Against the Grain but I don't think I can ever do that album Justice with my words. I'll try and get reviews for Opus Eponymous and Il Etait Une Foret (they'd both be close to a 90 and I'd probably give the Gris album like a 97) out, since it has been requested of me.
