Epic, epic atmosphere. Vocals are unfortunately very standard, and sorta quiet in the mix, but the keyboards and the guitars are blended well. I like those slower sections (like The One around 3:00). There are a lot of pace changes that give this song a lot of variety and keep me interested.
8/10

I was listening to some new Ulver stuff, so it's different from what people regularly post on here:

5.5/10 It wasn't really what I expected. It says in the site that it's Industrial Electro but that turned out to be a lie when I heard this ambient stuff. A fan of ambient might like it but it's not really for me.

There has been a lot of talk about this song lately. Maybe someone who haven't heard it should give it a shot.

I'm not a Kamelot fan or a Dimmu fan, but I like the odd Kamelot song.
This song is probably one of the best I've  heard from the genre. I think the singer of Kamelot goes really well with Shaggy in the background to eccentuate it. There's a very Intense theatrical feeling, and although the Power Metal solo is a Tad out of place, it's still great. (I am referring to the full 5 minute version, not the cut version you posted). The thing about this song is that I first heard it when I was starting to really get into metal (around age 12 or 13), so it has nostalgia value for me.

Actually, you can't pin a genre on Ulver. They used to be Norwegian Black Metal, Raw Black Metal, folk, Hard Rock, avante garde metal, trip hop, etc. If you want metal listen to Wolf and Fear by them.

As some of you may know, Morbid is the band Dead was in before he joined Mayhem. Morbid only released like 4 demos and an EP while they were formed, but they still had some decent stuff.

8/10. Nasty, old school metal with attitude. Fuck yeah.
also, that Ulver song you posted would've gotten around a 9 or 10 from me, fan-fuckin-tastic.

This song is so catchy it's not even funny. This is love. This makes me want to eat babies and dance.

8/10. Rapetacular.

Merc, have you heard Mirrorthrone's other stuff besides Gangrene? I enjoy that album and want to check out some of his other shit, and you suck that album's dick to no end so I figure you'd be familiar with his other material.

This is one of the dirtiest, nastiest songs ever written. In 1983 no less.

Yes. I have every album made by Vladimir Cochet. Carriers of Dust is crushingly epic and Of Wind and Weeping is beautiful, but I just like Gangrene a little more than those ones. Obviously as you can hear, Weeping Birth is "rapetacular". Unholy Matrimony is his darkest stuff, actually being Black Metal rather than a fusion: avant-garde metal (Mirrorthrone) or Brutal black/death metal (Weeping Birth).

Whoa, nice intro.

9.5/10.
