4/10 That song is so incredibly overused and overrated Here's some GOOD Dragonforce. Even if you don't like DragonForce you must agree that this song is better.

8/10 Yeah, I like the song (though I don't think 'Through the fire...' is that bad.
Where has all the good and exciting Power Metal gone? This genre has been so stale lately... I can count the very few decent new releases on my fingers.

7/10 Unfortunately you went and picked what (to me) is one of Rammstein's weaker songs. What about Ohne Dich, Spring, Feuer und Wasser, Spiel Mit Mir, etc? Oh well. Great dynamics and powerful catchiness. The interlude in the middle feels great, but I think it sounded better on the Volkerball live recording. The Flaw in the song is that it feels a little bit stiff at the chorus, lacking fluidity. The rest of the song is fine, though, so it's all good. Another little problem I have is that Till doesn't Push his vocals in this one much (again, he does a better job on the Volkerball recording).
I'm curious as to what you guys think of this one:
Interesting story behind this one--I was in NY a while ago, and on the bus ride back, something I ate didn't agree with me, and for the last two hours of the trip I was in the back bathroom, puking a lot. I had this song stuck in my Head at the time, and I kept playing through it in my head. Now, when I hear it, I can smell vomit, no kidding. I do album art for bands! Yikes, what happened to Electric Wizard? I dunno about this, it doesn't have the same presence of dopesmoke Sludge or earthshattering riffs... it sounds almost poppy compared to earlier stuff. I've never heard Black Masses 'cause of the blah reviews, but now I can see why it gets them. Don't get me wrong, it isn't totally bad--the opening riff that goes on through most of the song is nice, the outro is good too, and the atmosphere is there, just not as much as on earlier releases. It is defenitely listenable and good, it's jus not great. Funny, I thought that this album would be really dark and abysmal based on the cover art, but it's like the happiest Electric Wizard song I've ever heard.
Let's bring some other bands into this Sludge fest:

8/10 added to my "bands to check out" list. Good shit. and Infinity, the Wizard have always worshiped at the Altar of Sabbath, and their later albums just show it more. They don't always do whacked-out shit like Dopethrone. I don't want them to either, I think that album was a one-time thing that could never be replicated.
that being said...
Classic. Fuck, man. Love this shit, and I'm only a casual fan of doom and not a big Sludge guy at ALL. Then again, this ain't really sludge.
