Probably surprised a lot of you by giving a Burzum song that rating, but this is a Burzum song that's a little too simplistic for me. It is nice and bouncy, very enjoyable, and a little accessible, but doesn't posses the raw energy or atmospher Burzum is known for. I do love that solo-ey interlude though. Good drumming, nice pace, catchy, essential Burzum, but Burzum has a load of songs that are better.
Something from the new Autopsy album... the 11 minute epic, SADISTIC GRATIFICATION! Prossibly my favorite off the new album. Such a beautiful song.

Coincedentally, I listened to a couple of Autopsy's new songs the other day. Knowing that they were one of the first OSDM bands along with Bolt Thrower, Obituary etc, i have been meaning to check out more of their stuff.
I like how the song is "Melodic", and the opening riff which continues throughout the song, is catchy, adding a Doom Metal atmosphere. (my opinion, dont crticise)
"I Wish I had that AR-15 in here, then I could probably get out.....I don't like being locked up, it's not very nice."

That doesn't explain why you gave it a 7/10--sounds like you liked it more than that (maybe). Referring to miniradman's post: 6.5/10 There are a few memorable moments, like around the 1 minute mark, but those are few and Far between. The drummer overuses the snare and the vocals don't vary all that much, sounding a lot like Cannibal Corpse (miniradman, does every Death Metal band you listen to have a vocalist that rips off Corpsegrinder Fisher's style or what?). The melodic riffs are the standout ones, the hooks, but they aren't strong hooks. The song is mostly chugging and beating the shit out of a snare drum. That solo at The End gives it the .5 of 6.5, but it defenitely doesn't save the song.
