I would've thought a band who made Redemption at the Puritan's Hand would be more than worth it. Averill has a unique presence in the studio recordings, also. Man, I seriously wished they'd come here along with a few other choice amazing bands. Hopefully when I spend a semester in Munich I'll get to see some metal action.

you're going to Munich for a student exchange project?

I plan on doing that, yes. I'll be able to do it in about Two years, and who knows, by then I might've changed my mind. But at the moment it's something I really want to do as I feel I can already navigate German-speaking places alright (I know the Absolute basics of the language so I can order meals and whatnot), and I'd like to see places other than boring-as-poop Maritime Canada.

I'm from Belgium but well, Munich isn't that Far away for me. But if you can go on exchange certainly try it (just inform on forehand about the exam conditions. I know people who got tricked that way. In some countries the marks on an exam are not equal to yours... Resulting in sudden flunks upon returning.)

Germany is awesome for metal, IZ - I know no European bands that don't have at least 2 gigs on any tour over there. They get hundreds of shows, Munchen is a good choice. Also, don't worry, lots of people speak English there anyway (loads of tourists during Oktoberfest)- enough so you don't starve, you should learn German for yourself :P

About the student/exam thing: i know somebody who went to germany for 5 months for exchange. She made exams there, scored well but upon returning to Belgium, her uni 'recalculated' her results. On average her marks dropped by 2 points. So, if you're having a close call (11 or 10/20) this may cause a Nasty surprise ofc
