I think the problem is they are not validated fast enough/at all. At least here at the international forum there is only scarce and old news.

Yeah I submited news a while and I hasen't come up. Also there really hasen't been any noticable changes to the news section.
 
I don't have a job yet so I'll be happy to validate.
