PedophilE says : Country music and pretty much everything mainstream, most of them sound the same and require little vocal talent(fucking autotune).
I agree with this statement... apart from one little detail

Well, not exactly... many mainstream artists need to have exceptionally good vocal skills to get where they are today. There are many voices out there, that not even autotune can fix.
Besides, many metal bands are now starting to take advantage of autotune. Sound editing (including pitch correction) is about as integral as steroids is to body-building, or Photoshop is to modelling. Just because it's cheating, doesn't mean doesn't work.
I don't know why, but I suddenly have a new found Hate for the very generic permutations of black metal. Black Metal which show no signs of creativity or any attempt to actually make music. They just Scream some Random shit into a mic, create some Black Metal sounding riffs off the cusp and drum (bullshit*) they way through randomly. On top of all that, it sounds like they've just recorded their music with their smartphones... then they go ahead an justify all this by saying they're "raw". So raw Black Metal has no standards any more?
Some bands were just meant to stay underground.
EDIT: The band which sparked my sudden fury is Ljå. The vocals were so off-putting in their Vedderbaug demo. Even though it's "TNBM". It's kinda like when you get see a hot Girl and there is just something off-putting about her which just turns you off (accent, BO, awkward hair style, STD...). I can't put my finder on what's wrong with the vocals, is he singing into a didgeridoo or something?
It's a shame because their music instrumentally is actually pretty darn awesome! The vocals ruin it.

Arch Enemy has made the Chart 200 several times.
Also Disturbed, Korn, (even besides Korn's dubstep album), Black Sabbath (their new single is in the top singles of 2013 right now), AC/DC (they seem to constantly be on some sort of best-selling chart and they still are now), Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon, Iced Earth, Cradle of Filth... and apparently in Europe there are constantly bands in charts like this, but I can't know for sure. But I think I've made my point; it happens a lot. I do album art for bands! Send me a Message or email [email protected] for more info. My website: http://curtisbotham.weebly.com/

over here i think i have only seen Black Sabbath in the charts lately, but again there more just pop rock...the new crap i mean obviously. Might be different over seas but i very rarely see any actual metal in the charts over here, and if it is it is the most hip hop/table scratchin type 'new metal' possible, if you could even call that shite metal
