Yeah, no. One album can't be responsible for "all the shitty metal. . .all of it" nowadays. You sir, are wrong. Fair enough it may have pioneered the way for other melo death bands that are influenced by At The Gates, but if they were really influenced by them wouldnt they check out their whole discography, and comprise their music with similiarities, not totally ripping off one album? Either way, we are neither wrong nor right. (I actually really like Slaughter of the soul.) |

| Mercenarion says : Not sure if I said these guys yet. At The Gates -Gardens of Grief and The Red In The Sky Is Ours are near-flawless albums... but the rest. People Worship the rest even though they are the reason so much metal sucks these days. Slaughter of the Soul is absolutely horrible. Also, I finally got into every Death album... except I still Hate TSoP. |

I started this topic with At The Gates |
| Loudpipes says : Sacred Reich. Ignorance and Surf Nicaragua are alright Thrash Metal releases, but The American Way is one of the most tepid albums i've ever heard. It's not because it's mid-paced thrash band all, but because it has literally some of the blandest, most boring riffs i've ever heard on a Thrash Metal album, and the rest of the band doesn't fair much better. Oh yeah, "31 Flavors". I don't even know what to fucking say about that. It's bad. It's real bad dudes. |
Sacred Reich were always "just ok" to me, Independent wasn't too bad, but the American way was pretty boring. They weren't the first thrash band to try that whole "thrash/rap" shit that had a short lived stint in the 90's... Thanks Anthrax.
