what are your all time favouite moments in metal. It could be an album, solo, lyrics whatever.

There are many great moments in metal.
but when Winston McCall said the words "There's Blood, In The WATER!" That is probably my favourite moment in metalcore. (Lead singer from Parkway Drive and the line is from "Boneyards")

The intro to Aces High by Iron Maiden on the Live After Death album.

Churchill's Speech
We shall go on to the end.
We shall Fight in France,
We shall Fight on the seas and oceans,
We shall Fight with GROWING confidence and GROWING strength in the air.
We shall defend our island whatever the cost may be.
We shall Fight on beaches, we shall Fight on the landing grounds,
We shall Fight in the fields and in the streets.
We shall Fight in the hills,
We shall never surrender.

...this thread is wayyyyy too general, are we actually so devoid of thread Ideas that THIS was necessary? your favorite "thing" that happened in metal?

Jeez.

Anyways, my favorite moment in metal is when the clean vocals come in on "Not Unlike the Waves". Gives me shivers EVERY time.

If we are "so devoid of thread ideas", who don't you make a thread? Just curious.

Now about Agalloch:
I love that part, but when John shrieks "sólstafir" it is more spine-chilling in my opinion.

Y'know what? I'm not gonna make one thread. I'll make three.

EDIT: There, I made three fully original, discussion-inducing, creative threads. Now don't tell me miniradman couldn't have come up with anything better than this.

are we competing now or something 0

why don't I just make 1,000,000

Yes, they were decent topics. But maybe a poll for the GORE lyrics: Yay or nay one. Is it too late.

Anyways back to topic, The drum solo at the start of I Killed The Prom Queen's Your Shirt Would Look Better With A Colombian Neck Tie is almost endlessly replayable to me. I could just literaly sit there for a few minutes just listening to the intro. It's awesome!
