I really like middle eastern sound in metal so I wondered if anyone know any metal bands with middle eastern sound in it. I already know about Orphaned Land (who doesn't) and that Nile got some egyptian themes in their songs, so does anyone know any other bands?

well, Melechesh has some Mid-East influences. also look up the more recent albums by Rudra, mainly their Brahmavidya albums, they have alot of Far-East folk influences. combined with a straigh out Death Metal sound.

also check out Hollenthon, some of their tracks have some Middle Eastern sounds to em. as well as Karl Sanders'(vocalist and Guitaris for Nile) side project called "Karl Sanders" is got alot of Egyptology themes mixed into it, but it definantly doesn't have the Brutality of Nile

I talked to Druman a lot. He use to be active here. I dont know much else anymore. Anyway, theres a Death Metal band in Baghdad, Iraq called Dog Faced Corpse. It's pretty Sick and they have some live vids on the youtube. It's about as true mideast metal you'll get since it's like 1 of the 3 true mideast metal bands out there. Unless bloody6strings knows some Jordanian thrash or something

i SAW a documentary about metal bands all across the globe, there's a band from Iran calld Arthimoth. they sound a little bit like Immolation or Incantation, it's pretty much illegal to play that kind of music over there. they mentioned how they'd been interrogated by the religious police because one of them had a Slayer shirt on
