British Heavy Metal band Judas Priest, one of the most influential
and most popular Heavy Metal bands of all time, has announced that they
are to perform one more world tour and then retire as a band. The band
will be performing at several European festivals next year, including
Graspop, Wacken and High Voltage. More dates and statements from band
members are to be released soon.

The tour dates are as follows:
June 9 - Sweden Rock - Solvesborg, Sweden
June 11 - Sauna Festival - Finland
June 17 - Copenhell Festival - Copenhagen, Denmark
June 19 - Hellfest - Nantes, France
June 22 - Gods of Metal Festival - Milan, Italy
June 25 - Graspop Festival - Belgium
July 23 - High Voltage Festival - London, UK
August 5 - Wacken Open Air - Wacken, Germany

Looks like I'm going to have to try and get tickets for the High Voltage Festival. I must see them live before they call it a day.

I know some of you won't give a shit.
I do they are in my top 5 favourite bands of all time.

I'll see them live this summer in Belgium

Damn...they better tour around here too - I really have to see them at least this once.

However, it may not be their last tour, a lot of bands announce retirement (AC/DC, Deep Purple, Rolling Stones(lol!)  for example), but they'll still stick around.

Found it while google searching Judas Priest.
Anyway, really too bad that they're breaking up.

But at one point they'll probably do a reunion tour. How old are these guys, anyway?

Goddamn, I MUST go to this, it's my last chance to see The Almighty Priest in action.
Anyways, It's slightly disheartening that they split, sure, but I'd rather they quit while they're ahead rather than release some shitty phoned-in albums that Taint their Legacy in an attempt to satisfy their fans.

K.K. Downing has left Judas Priest.

Thanks for the memories, K.K.!

My brother said the band changed their minds and now they're just stopping tours after this next world tour, but they're supposedly still gonna record new stuff. Don't know where he heard it so I don't know how credible that info is.

KK downing has left the band because he lacked the motivation to continue the world tour. Judas Priest will continue to exist and will release in 2012 new material. Downing has been already replaced

That's kinda funny, but expected (that he got replaced so fast). Any metal fan would Kill for the oppurtunity to play alongside JP.

Already got tickets for Judas Priest in Bucharest! 0  not sure if  I'll have a roof over my Head on the 3 rd of july, though 0 since my dorm stay is due on the 28th june, but will surely manage.

JP announced that there is still a possibility to do 'small tours' afterwards. This is basically the last big world tour. They'll be going the Scorpions path... so 10 extra years to go, lol
Not that I mind, the concerts will be awesome!
