It's just that my parents are not that open minded as it may seem here. It is all about Trust I think

Defenitely, but some people just have a certain Capacity of trust.
And it's not always about that either, sometimes no matter how much someone trusts you they still think you have a plastic mind and are susceptible to manipulation through propaganda or extremist metal.
Although, Little Rebel, your mom seems completely misguided with metal and I would take the time to explain Heavy Metal to her so she knows it isn't all Satan Worship, and in fact, I can only think of maybe 3 bands that are actually satanic (and those ones are LaVey Satanists anyway and LaVey Satanists are usually more chill than fundamental Christians). And that's from 7 years of metal under my belt.
Now if your mom is the type who quotes the bible to prove points about who's going to Hell and hates Abortion and gays etc, then the whole 'convince mom metal is okay' thing might be a little more difficult.

now I can totally agree with you Infinity anyways, LittleRebel, you can always tell your mom that Mayhem it's purely christian and mosh to Deathcrush together...

You listen to Arch Enemy right?
Kay, tell your mom about the song Carry the Cross--it uses the metaphor for Jesus carrying a bigass slab of wood up a hill to symbolize society and whatnot. Just tell her, look, just 'cause they're metal doesn't mean that they can't have Christian standpoints (obviously AE don't have those ideals but make it up if it Means your mom will let you listen to the music). And tell your mom about bands like DemonHunter that're Christian and such.
That's what I did with my grandmother so now she's fine with me listening to Death Metal (though I haven't told her about those lyrics--she thinks I just listen to Christian-based metal 0 )

Right. :-) Funny idea. But I've also explained to her what White Metal is without much effort. I think she doesn't Trust in my words there. Any way, she thinks Metallica is okay but doesn't believe in my words that it is metal. Haha. No, Metallica surely is R 'n B...

1.) I am 14. My parents could me forbidd listening it, buying CDs&shirts.
2.) I love metal and if you love something you can't do Nothing if you here somebody is talking bad about.

Haha, sounds like a dream. My DAD accepts my way. But my Mom has a problem with my whole life - with the stuff I listen, the stuff I read, the stuff I write, the stuff I say, the people I like.

InfinityZero says : No Offense to LittleRebel's mom, this is hypothetical, but Pavel, why do you assume everyone's super open-minded to strange things with extremist points of view? Sad to say, most people aren't very open minded and don't want or refuse to accept things like Black Metal or Nietzsche.
The person we're talking about happens to be one of those people. And let's not forget that she is thinking of what's best for her kid, even if she's going about it the entirely wrong way.
I don't even think her mom is refusing to let her listen to metal--she just doesn't like the idea of it.

By the way, LittleRebel, does it bother you that we're taking this conversation on this tangent? I can stop talking about it if it's too personal or whatever.

Oh yeah, I agree. Even if it is very nerving and fights are not really the best in life it shows she thinks about me, she wants a good way for me and all. That's nice from her. Any way, it makes me Sad, she doesn't think I can find a "good way" myself...

No, it's no prob. I started with it so it would be kinda funny if I was angry that you talk about now.

Thank you, I think this could help a bit.
Thank GOD, she isn't THAT intolerant. She has no problem with gays or anything. No, she understands a lot of stuff, usually she is open-minded but I think she has a real problems with - how she calls - "such a dark view of life". That Means she has a problem with metal, horror stuff, goth-outfit and I think also S&M (not Metallica's album here). The weird thing is this (except the last) is the stuff I love. Weird, huh? And Sad somehow.

Okay, it's good she isn't that into the religious mind control.
How is S&M, horror and metal a dark view of life?
Metal is primarily escapism, something to listen to that helps you transcend your thoughts to something other than how you had a crappy day etc. The powerful messages inspire Power within the listener and divert them from Depression and whatnot. I'm serious when I say that I've talked to lots of people who said that metal helped them with Depression and someone I talked to got into Slipknot, Disturbed and Marilyn Manson and it made them feel better about themselves to the point where they didn't Kill themselves like they were planning on doing before hand. (Crappy bands, but you get my point)
S&M, like all sex is something that relies on pure adrenaline and dominance/submission to vitalize sexuality and freedom. And then I could get into all the advantages of getting sexual release--that is, improved self-esteem, improved metabolism, improved apetite, helps you get to Sleep, encourages the immune system (no joke), and makes people feel happy. S&M may be varied from straightforward missionary-style, but it's got the same principles.
Horror... well, that one is harder to defend as something that doesn't have a Negative view on life. But I can tell you I've never watched The Shining and said 'Y'know what? I think I might just Kill myself today.'
Wellllllll actually I thought that when I realized there was a remake of the Wicker Man staring Nicholas Cage and a remake of Psycho starring Vince Vaughn, but other than that... 0
