I noticed some bands who have a lot of fans and bands that only have a few sometimes have the same number of popularity stars shown. I'm curious as to how that works. Anyone know?

Users become fans of band. Click on the number, join and you become the band's fan.

It depends of fan's numbers & a certain amount of Full Length / Demo on their discography

You don't understand what I'm asking. I'm asking how the popularity stars are tallied. A band with 4 releases and only 2 fans has two stars, and a band with 6 releases and something like 19 fans still has two stars. I tried poking around to see if there was a page explaining the simantics of this but didn't see any.

It's not only about how many fans have (but it is key), it's also how many releases in their discography they have. So you could have a band with 20 releses and only 10 fans and it would have 3 or 4 stars. I think that each release is weighted higher than a fan. so a fan is worth 1 point and an album is worth more (I don't know the exact figgure 0 )

Does this answer your question?

According to admin, there is no such scheme which says and album if worth "x" amount of points and a fan is worth "y" amount of points.

It's weird I know 0

It would be better to say "I don't know". We know there has to be a scheme, it can't be a Random thing.

Yes, what I meant is that the admin should have said "I don't know".
