When I was 14, and "Beavis and Butthead: Do America" movie came out, the scene where Beavis has a psychedelic effect in the desert, Rob Zombie blazes his music along with his sick art work, I remember playing this scene over and over Again, because I was really into what he made for the movie.

Afterwards, I was really into Rob Zombie for a few months, and I did a search for bands like HIM (back then, AskJeeves.com was the shit) and found Cannibal Corpse and Deicide. Then it was SFU, Internal Bleeding, Carcass, all around the years of 2000 - 2002. 6 years later, I like nothing but brutal death / grind from Germany and Russia mostly. 0

But this is my short weird way of finding metal out. Before I did find out, I was listening to classic rock radio stations around the house that I also recorded on cassette tapes (Blue Oyster Cult, Supertramp, Foghat, etcetra).

How'd you discover the amazing sounds of metal?

I grew up listening to Country like Brooks & Dunn and Garth Brooks0  (I rarely listened to Hard Rock and metal, Mostly Metallica, AC/DC, Guns 'N Roses, Blue Oyster Cult, etc)), but in 1997 I saw the Video for Korns Freak on a leash and I got hooked, from there I started listening to more Metallica, Started Listening to Venom, and getting more into more Extreme metal genres.
I hardly ever listen to country anymore, I still have a couple Brooks & Dunn Cd's though.

My story didn't start in childhood , but in early-teenage years. One dull evening, I was tuning my radio and heard this rock-metal Live show on national station... I cannot describe the feeling, all went WHOW! Yup, the very first song was Back to the Primitive...

Well I had a friend whose older brother totally loved playing Metallica songs on his accoustic guitar and what can I say, I was hooked to the sound. He noticed my interest and allowed to to borrow from his PRECIOUS colection of cd's. It started with Metallica, then moved on to the likes of Nightwish, Rammstein, Korn, Angel Dust, American Head Charge and the list goes on.

This all started when i was a little dumb kid, who wanted to be sooo cool, actually when i was 11.
I was listening to rap music because all other did, and i wanted that all think i was "hardcore" :P.
At that time i hated Metal and Rock, even though i haven't listened any single Metal or Rock song.0
Later i discovered Lordi, when i was watching ESC, i thought this is interesting, so i searched for them in google, and listened to HRH. I was like this>>>0 man what a great song, this blows rap away!!
Later i discovered Children Of Bodom, and Slipknot, and Rammstein and so on, and so on.

And now i don't give a rat fuck what other think about me. :D

Well first I discovered Rhapsody coz i was bored with movie soundtracks, so I went through my mum's CDs and there was Guns N Roses, Evanescence and Rhapsody so I took the Rhapsody CD and after listening to the WHOLE CD I then continuelessly played Unholy Warcry because the Solo got to me like Hell so after that I went for some Queen(LOL it's not metal but it's still good) after that I went for my Dad's CDs and listened to AC/DC and then my mum's Guns N Roses then my dad's Audioslave,Muse and Black Sabbath.
Now I enjo the likes of Slipknot, Lamb Of God, Velvet Revolver and more bands like that.
