I really like early Kraftwerk stuff.
Kraftwerk was the first band to do electronic music. They did 3 experimental albums (love those to death) then 4 electronic ones, and then they moved into dance music in the 80s, which I didn't like so much. But seriously, listen to these songs by them:

Radioactivity (original)
Mitternacht
Trans-Europe Express
Ohm Sweet Ohm

They're a pretty awesome band.

I won't say that I'm a big fan of them, but I like some songs, mainly from the early releases.
I got into them when I heard that Rammstein covered one of their songs, so I checked them out.

Oh, and I TOTALLY Forgot about Thin Lizzy, although I'd consider them metal anyways. Anybody that influences The Lord Weird Slough Feg automatically kicks ass by default.

Oh, and The Devil's Blood are a great band, too, doomish occult-rock stuff. The site probably considers them metal though, as their atmosphere is rather metallic in nature.

EDIT: Look at that, they do. Jesus shit this place can't get it genres straight.

The admins are not that much active now, plus there are so many non-metal acts here, that they can't just search for them all and delete them.
