not well :P  i don't know if it'd ever be wise for anyone to cover Simone Simons, as she's preeetty hard to top.

Your vocals on Exile are pretty awesome! I'm still curious about your growling. I've never listened to it.

It's not easy, indeed. I'm trying for years now. The main problem about covering Simone is that most women develop a soprano Voice (which I suppose it must be your case, maybe) while Simone's timber is stronger and deeper, which makes her a mezzo-soprano. It's not impossible to sing Epica songs, I'm sure you can get a pretty good tune out of it but, if you have a soprano Voice like most female singers, don't expect to sing them exactly like Simone. Try to develop you own registry with your timber, and the songs will come out pretty well too!

huh, that's funny. i was under the impression that most female singers were mezzo-sopranos, which i am too, actually (though i've always wanted to be an alto).  in fact, i haven't had much difficulty emulating her timbre, but her higher range, and even a note or two of her lower range usually come out as no more than a whisper. i suppose it's possible to extend one's range..but for someone who doesn't practice all that often, it's quite a challenge.
