I've heard so many say the same.

It sounds like his last 2 albums, cheap ambient done on a childrens keyboard.

It's ambient without ambience.

I think it's pretty good. Actually better than I thought or hoped for. Can't say that much about it considering I only listened one time. I will say, though, that the last song drags aaaaassssssssss. I seriously thought there was something wrong with my Ipod, hahaha.

i agree. everyone who had really anticipated this album seem to have been disappointed by it, myself included, it sounds to me almost like Varg sorta half-assed the whole album assuming that Black Metal fans would like it anyways

Yeah, the songs Dunkelheit and Jesus' Tod are the two that make everyone love the album. Those two songs are about 1/3 of the album, at least songwise. The rest of the album is slow and without vocals, but it's better to just sit back and listen to that portion of Filosofem with a quieted mind in a relaxed environment.

Anyway, my favorite Burzum album will always be Hvis Lyset TAR Oss. I like every song there except the second one.

yeah, my favorite's probably Aske, it was more raw Black Metal than his other releases. that riff in the song War is great

Although I would hardly name Burzum as a Black Metal and Varg denied this,
This album is brilliant!
We'll be waiting for more music from Varg!

This last part of Varg is awesome. A fantastic ideological conversion.

A return in the primitive earth.

Wait, 'War' wasn't on Aske; it was on Burzum.

I think you must be thinking of the Burzum/Aske combined album.
