That Veneficium logo looks like it slightly rips off The One from Sycronomica.

But the music is great. Seems like alot of great bands Hail from Canada.

Anyone else heard of Darkmoon Warrior? I hear they're progressive depressive black metal.

And what about Serpens? I'm at a loss as to what genre these guys are. But I must admit, these guys are interesting.

Both band are most impressive, this tracks will tell us Hell's Arrival is very near to our ears (I suppose)

Yesterday, I listen once again to this occult (and excellent) band: Kargvint
Depressive Black in its purest form
Here is the best track picked from their 2008 Album "Seelenwerks Fortgang"

Anyone heard of Nahvalr? It's the same genre as Gnaw Their Tongues, but not as scary and Inhuman, IMO.

Nychts
Mortualia

Both bands have released pretty good stuff. But one thing stands out. They collaborated on an album in 2010, "Nebelstern Des Nichts". It features Silencer-esque shrieks, so be wary of that. It sounds like Darkspace, but Far more emotion and rather uplifting. It's a 40 minute song and every second of it blows me away. Some of the most beautiful Black Metal I have ever heard.

Almost all of it is uplifting... except for the middle section, when Mortualia takes over. At The End, Nychts takes over to the end.

Janvs
-Not a recent find; I found these guys back in 2009. Didn't like it back then. Now I am in love with their music. Their first album is like the second album, but Far more aggressive. The second (my favourite) is a perfect Hybrid of space rock and Black Metal with occasional clean vocals (reminds me of Solstafir). Very Majestic and beautiful black metal.

Merc, how does it come that you always known these good, unknown bands?
