I'm not nearly as well versed in Black Metal (the second wave) as much as others are, but Dawn (SWE) seem to be incredibly underrated to me. Naer Solen Gar Nider For Evoker is an incredible slab of melodic Black Metal with a subtle folk and technical bent to the riffs, in addition to a Swedeath influence (they originally started out as a Swedeath band on the Apparition demo). The riffs are fantastic, the bass work is suprisingly really fleshed out, and the vocalist sounds very similar to Mille Petrozza of Kreator at times. It's really a shame they're not as well known as Dissection or Sacramentum, because they're a great band in their own right. (not that those two aren't)

I recently discovered Klabautamann . These guys are amazing at combining jazz elements into Black Metal without screwing up. At times they are Brutal and creepy, but other times they are beautiful.
