Here are some of my faves:

Has a very nice raw
Black Metal feeling tied in with a lot of haunting and atmospheric folk sections. The riffings remind me of
Burzum and very early
Mayhem (like Deathcrush).

The album holds up very well through and through, the sound is consistent yet at the same time each song is quite unique from the others. Good use on synths all around.

A splendidly dark
Ominous atmosphere that is heavy at sometimes, and
Majestic at others. Perfection in terms of both atmospheric
Black Metal and
Black Metal you can headbang to. Also has a great fully-ambient track (
Tomhet) that serves as the perfect relaxing song to wrap it all up nicely.

Perfect, absolutely perfect folk/black metal blend. Although there are only five songs, each one is a great standout. Garm's vocals are perfectly mastered; he has a
Brutal growl that has strength and
Power behind it, and he can switch on command to clean, barritone vocals. A hell of a lot of talent is utilized here, especially considering this is only their debut. Probably the most atmospheric album I've ever heard, except maybe for 'Within the
Realm of a
Dying Sun' by Dead Can Dance.
